Why does the Current Tab show (ex.) 24 knives while the Total tab shows a number less than that?
The number on the Current tab is the total number of knives loaded into the program. The number on the Total tab is the number of knives you have in your inventory. If you have any knives in categories “On Order”, “Wish List”, or “Sold” these are not in your inventory and would be included in the number loaded (Current tab) but not in the inventory totals (Total tab).
The pattern I want to enter is not in the drop down box.
You must click on the Maintenance tab and put into the various tables
the data which you are going to need. Each of these tables is a drop down box
and you may add, edit or delete the manufacturer, collections, patterns, handle
material, blade marks and/or condition data in the table.
There are four tabs on the bottom of the form – Current, View All, Totals, and Maintenance. Click on the tab you want. When you are finished click on the tab you wish to return to.
The Owner’s Manual was loaded by the setup program. Go to Start/Programs/Knife Collector and there is a shortcut for the Owner’s Manual. If you do not have the Adobe Reader on your computer the ReadMe file has a link where you may download a free copy of it.
The registration form is located in the Knife Collector directory in your
start menu.
1. You could enter one 11 1/2 pattern with Cheetah in the name in the table
and put “Cub” in the Comments field or you could put Cub in the Blade Marks.
2. You could enter two patterns in the table. “11 1/2” with Cheetah in the name
field and “11 1/2 Cub” with Cheetah Cub in the name field.
The solution to this would be to create a "Manufacturer" in the
"Maintenance" tab with the year span in the name field such as "Case XX
1940-1960", then in the year produced field, enter your best estimate of "Year
Produced"
After the Users Manual was created this function was changed and the User Manual has not been updated. The program will not delete the previous months files until the sixth day of the current month. This allows the previous months backup files to remain for five days in case you need to restore one of them. They will be deleted when you perform a backup after the fifth day of the current month.
